We don't need portals, we don't need live.com
The notion that we need to look at one page on the web to get all of our information is nonsense. Weather, stock quotes, news, email - we don't need to see them all at once if the BEST email program, the BEST finance site, the BEST weather page is half a millisecond and one click away.

And furthermore, you don't need it if you keep 24 browser windows open simulaneously, like I do.
