Kerry and Gates

The front page of NYT.com today had two juxtaposed items coming out of Davos today. One is a story on Senator Kerry's futile atempt to block a Supreme Court nominee. The other is about Bill Gates deciding to eradicate Tuberculosis by donating $900m to the cause. Who is the public servant here?

On DSBPI's last flight IN COACH the two passengers next to us had the above headphones (along with DSBPI). In first it is almost 50% of the cabin now.

If Bose were public we would be seeing iPod like growth reported on this item -- that probably has giant margins.
